Two posts, and some information…

MPLS Represent!

MPLS Represent!

Wednesday, February 10th:
“Nancy w/ a row”

5 Rounds:
400 M Row
15 OHS (95#/65#)

Post thoughts and times to “comments”.

Thursday, February 11th:
Bottom to Bottom “Tabata Something Else”

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are Pull-ups, the second 8 are Push-ups, the third 8 intervals are Sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are Squats. There is no rest between exercises. Additionally, to really kick things up a notch, we will be holding position through the ten second rest intervals.  That means, at the end of your push-ups, you will hold in the push-up position.  You will hang from the bar during pull-ups, keep yourself upright during sit-ups, and hold in the base of a deep squat during squats.

Post thoughts and scores to “comments”.

Notice: I will be heading south tomorrow (Thursday) for the CrossFit Games Midwest sectionals in St. Charles, MO.  In my absence, Tom will be running classes at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 PM.  There will not be a noon class on Thursday or Friday! I will post the WODs to come, as well as information surrounding Saturday class options.  I apologize for the inconvenience and am grateful for all of the support.  I’ve been training hard for some time now, and hope to make CrossFit MPLS proud.

Thanks,

Tyler

    working on form
also, do NOT row without wearing shoes. bad idea.

    KICK A**, TYLER!

  2. Greg says:

14:40 or 43, I forget. OHS did the bar, 45#, it was easy to start, but the shoulder flexibilit isn’t quite there.

    Represent Tyler!

  3. Dick says:

  4. Doug says:

    18:14 w/ 65 lbs. bar.
Tyler – Rock it down there in St. Louis. You’re the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Nick says:

I coppied Ian. Except I did empty bar first 4 rounds and 90 lbs last set. Usual sub for rowing.

20:23. My form was also rough, but felt much better towards later rounds. Must not be very flexible.

  6. ryan petersen (pete) says:

    First day at the box!

Nancy – sub row for run
    10:32 as RX

I showed it again today that i need someone to count for me once i get going! I am pretty sure that i only did 4 rounds because this is about 3 mins faster than last nancy time but we did row instead of run … so who knows.

thanks tyler for letting me kick it into gear today. Good luck at sectionals.

  7. Jess says:

    17:24 33# felt pretty good

  8. Tom says:

Ryan (or, pete), welcome to the gym. if you did indeed get 10:32 RX that is impressive (hell, 13 or 14 mins is impressive).

    For me, 17:something, Rx.

As for class, it should be a fun time without tyler (you know, complaining about his hand or his car or what not). If anyone has any questions about times and/or classes, give me a call. (612-747-9608).

Also, I cannot post the workouts, so I will just tell everyone friday’s workout at class tonight.

  9. Ginger says:

    18:00 something, 33#
    Tom, thanks for having class!!!
    Good Luck Tyler!

  10. Nick says:

    26, 50, 60, 92.

I did myself so just set timer for 4 mins, max reps chin and pushup. I hit the ground 5 times with chins and 4 times with pups. Situp and squats rxd. My thighs feel like jello. Nice wod though. Cold here in japan, so nice to be all warmed up again. Of course nothing like you guys back in mn, so I’ll shut up now:).

  11. Jeff says:

    14:47 w/ 45# bar only.

    GL at the games :D

  12. kt says:

Just did Tabata Something Else but missed the “hold everything” part. Someday… 54 assisted pullups, 72 pushups (but my range of motion was not as good as it should be: they were *so* *hard*!), 62 situps, 109 squats.
