It’s a main site kind of day…

Nicole

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
Run 400 meters
Max rep Pull-ups

There are two approaches to this WOD.  First, you can hit the runs hard and get more opportunities on the bar, but likely have to sacrifice as a result of exhaustion.  Or second, you can choose to pace your runs a bit, and sacrifice in your lack of time spent executing pull-ups.  The choice is yours.

Post number of pull-ups completed for each round to “comments”.

I took approach number two but I figure it will be hard either way…be prepared to really struggle on the bar for the last minute or so. Good workout though!!

  2. Kristen Latta says:

oh yeah and I finished with 67 pullups with a band…

  3. Stacy says:

My favorite workout so far. Whole body feels exhausted. Finished with 60 pull ups with a band.

  4. Nate Weingarden says:

finished with 47 pull ups. i tried running hard 400m runs to get more chances at the bar, I think you can get more if you pace your runs.

  5. JMLA says:

Felt pretty good on the pull-ups; real efficient kip going. Out of the gates with 25, finished with 78. My lats and biceps are screamin

  6. Sean McMahon says:

Hey this was a great workout. i got 75 pull ups but I think that if I had run a bit faster. But all around a great day. Nice job today guys.

  7. Rik says:

missed it yesterday, so i ran it today.

    8 rounds completed ( 8x400m=2 miles)
77 pullups – dead hang, no kipping

wanted to catch JMLA, but just couldnt squeeze out any more (i know its cheating having a number to shoot for, but ya won anyhow. nice job!) also checked my weight for the first time in a while and im down to 150-151, meaning its time to start adding a whole lot of rippitoe’s favorite training supplement (whole milk! not only a great calorie booster but Zone friendly too…) to the ol’ diet.
