Great seeing you guys today!! Thanks for all the great energy Steph.

My lumbar spine hates me… 20 rounds + 14 RX

  2. Seth says:

Corporal Ryan C. McGhee, 21, was killed in action on May 13, 2009 by small arms fire during combat in central Iraq. He served with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment of Fort Benning, Ga. This was his fourth deployment, his first to Iraq. Ryan was engaged to Ashleigh Mitchell of Fredericksburg, VA. He is survived by his father Steven McGhee of Myrtle Beach S.C., his mother Sherrie Battle McGhee, and his brother Zachary.

  3. Scott Jag says:

11 rounds + 1 rep, Rx. Did push-ups unbroken, a nice mini win.

  4. Matt S. says:

    Good seeing you too, Neil!
15rds+16 rx. Push ups held together pretty good.

Thanks Seth for the bio. I always appreciate knowing the story behind the hero.

  5. Thomas J. Calvin says:

I just signed into “Beyond The WhiteBoard” only took me 4 years. :-) see you tonight for “McGhee” hero WOD

  6. Steph says:

Scott: “mini win” = why we set intentions on Fridays! :)

Great job 6 and 7 AM, you guys made my morning!

  7. Scott Jag says:

Steph: Absolutely! The other mini-win was using the Rx weight for deadlift. I was going to go 225…glad I didn’t, broke a mental barrier! Thanks for the nudge.

  8. Seth says:

My Intention was to be Bad Ass – Which today was getting to 14rounds Rx

Today I was Bad Ass 14 Rnds + 6 Pushups Rx

    Thought for the day:
You may be wondering if you can be Bad Ass too? The answer is Yes! you can! Being Bad Ass is different for everyone. For instance next time I do this WOD – 14 is no longer Bad Ass – its probably more like 16 rounds. For you it may have been something different (unbroken pushups or Rx DL), but its something you think you can do but is a stretch goal something you have to push yourself really hard to get to. Give it a try sometime, because everyone wants to be a Bad Ass, but remember you can’t be a Bad Ass every day, that would just be being normal. Maybe we just call that intensity?

Today I honored a fallen soldier by completing “McGhee” Tyler asked us in class our goals for today & in general. My response was to complete today’s WOD with games standards. I held myself to a high standard opening hips at top of box before jumping off, full chest to deck P.U. & full extension on arms, and keeping back tight at top of D.L W/ shoulders behind bar. I feel I would have received every rep. I counted.

Great job 5:00PM class today, I must say the energy was extra BIG in the room.

    Metcon: 17rnds. RX

  10. Scott Jag says:

    Seth…like your post. Thx

  11. Markese says:

  12. Natalie says:
